News Release
Heavenly Helpline
If you thought 31st January was your deadline for self
assessment submission, then think again, warns Tax Angels
Managing Director, Gary Fairclough. “In reality, 21st
January could have been the last date for the unwary.”
This stems from the introduction in November 2008 of on-line filing only,
for which you require a special activation code which takes 10
days to issue by post! (see www.hmrc.gov.uk)
Additionally,
anyone who received their online filing passwords in November
last year must have activated them by Xmas, otherwise they
have now been rendered invalid!
So £100 penalties abound for the relaxed amongst us who feel smug when
they turn on the computer to deliver the tax document
electronically since 22nd January or later.
However, all is not lost. Tax Angels, self assessment specialists since
its introduction over 10 years ago, offer a telephone based
service, whereby they will submit your form online using their
professional link. It takes minutes with their specially
trained staff and fees start at £50.
This means that taxpayers avoid unnecessary penalties and fines to the
taxman. And if you are having difficulty completing the form,
then Tax Angels will work out the figures for you based on
your own circumstances. Phew! Tax
made Simple.
